District 8
Help Ohio Public Education
We need Leaders with a Plan, Not an Agenda

HOPE
BOE races are non-partisan and so is HOPE. The recommendation below is for District 8 for the Nov 8, 2016 election.
District 8 comprises Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, Jefferson, Mahoning, Stark, and Tuscarawas Counties.
Kathleen Purdy
After over 25 years as an outstanding classroom teacher of elementary and middle school families and a Distinguished Leader recipient from her professional association, Kathleen Purdy has an interest in making every child’s education one of high quality, school districts given the resources they need, and making charter schools more accountable. She is an educator, leader and activist, and  is seeking this seat, she says, "to use my qualifications to advocate for those that need it the most, our students, and won’t allow political favors to outweigh Ohio’s students, school districts and communities."

Remember, most Ohio taxpayers can get a tax CREDIT of $50 ($100 for married filing jointly) when you donate to state
